Zhou Ci’s eyes held no desire; his indifference was absolute, and he had no motive to touch her in any way.

“You think my car is so easy to get into?” Zhou Ci effortlessly shook off her hand, then crudely tore her dress to shreds.

Gu Shen Shen had no time to struggle—like a kitten, she was pinned down, unable to move.

For a fleeting second, a thread of despair swept over her.

If only she hadn’t gotten into his car.

After a futile struggle, Gu Shen Shen’s brows knitted in pain; without a second thought, she bit down hard on his shoulder.

Yet this man seemed numb, unmoving like a tortoise.

Gu Shen Shen felt tears threatening to fall.

She swore she’d used every ounce of her strength, but he seemed utterly unaffected.

His abnormal breathing only heightened her sense of foreboding.

Her small hand clutched his collar, and the tears finally spilled over.

“A Ci, I know I was wrong. It was my fault back then, I…” Her voice faltered, breaking off into sobs.

Her shoulders shook as she cried, looking so pitiful and helpless.

As expected, Zhou Ci paused. After a brief moment, he sneered, “I remember two years ago you were fond of all sorts of novelties. Many tricks—you taught me. Why are you crying now? Don’t like them anymore?”

When he said this, Gu Shen Shen was utterly speechless; everything he said was true.

“This past month has been worse than death for me. My health isn’t good, cough, cough… I really can’t take it anymore. In the name of the time I saved your life, please let me go, won’t you?” she pleaded weakly between coughs.

Her face was all innocence and vulnerability, her voice soft and plaintive.

Zhou Ci narrowed his eyes, and his gaze fell on her now disheveled, alluring figure.

Gu Shen Shen felt her breath trembling, terrified he might suddenly succumb to his baser instincts.

But in the end, Zhou Ci sat back down, his clothes still immaculate—only her dress was ruined beyond repair.

Seeing him reach for the privacy partition, Gu Shen Shen grabbed his sleeve.

Zhou Ci regarded her with disdain, his face stripped of earlier complex emotion.

“What is it?”

“My dress is ruined. I can’t possibly get out like this.” She gripped his sleeve tightly; if she had the strength, she’d have stripped him right then and there.

Zhou Ci ignored her, lowering the privacy partition regardless.

Gu Shen Shen had no choice but to shrink herself behind the front passenger seat, fists clenched in frustration, not daring to glare at him.

“Let her out at the next intersection.”

Within minutes, the car pulled smoothly to the roadside.

But Gu Shen Shen huddled motionless, the assistant sensing something amiss and feeling acutely uncomfortable.

“Driver, could you please step out for a moment?” At the request, the assistant swiftly exited and watched from a distance.

Sure enough, the car began rocking in an unusual manner.

Zhou Ci had expected her to beg him to take her somewhere familiar.

But unexpectedly, after staring at him for several seconds, Gu Shen Shen suddenly sprang up like a monkey.

“What are you doing!” Zhou Ci, caught off guard, was momentarily irritated.

Gu Shen Shen forcibly stripped off his expensive suit jacket.

Zhou Ci reached for her, only to have her toss his hand aside: “Hand it over!”

Then she quickly pushed open the car door and got out, pulling on the oversized jacket to cover her battered appearance.
