Those two people were surrounded like stars around the moon. They didn't notice anyone else around them at all.

As they passed the booth where Jiang Ciyou was sitting, Shen Nuo suddenly called out loudly, "You guys, today you'd better take good care of our Sister You. Make her happy, and tonight she'll take you all out for late-night snacks."

The four young men understood at once. In a flash, they sat down two by two beside Jiang Ciyou.

"Sis, I've got the best tolerance for alcohol. Let's play a drinking game."

Jiang Ciyou played along. "Sure, but a win or loss ought to have some stakes."

"How about the loser drinks a glass of wine?"

Jiang Ciyou gave a faint smile. "Drinking is so boring. How about this: if I lose, I'll down three glasses as a penalty. But if you lose once, you take off one piece of clothing."

"Sis, you're such a tease."

Hearing a familiar voice, Bo Jinxiu stopped in his tracks instantly. He turned around and saw a few flashily dressed young men sitting around Jiang Ciyou. They were all top-tier in appearance and build, doing everything they could to please her. One of them was playing the drinking game and, having lost a round, was shyly pulling off his shirt.

Bo Jinxiu felt as though he'd been struck by a muffled blow. Without a second thought, almost by reflex, he strode toward Jiang Ciyou. The people originally gathered around him were stunned, but they all followed along. Shen Qingqing's expression shifted slightly as well, a flicker of surprise passing through her eyes.

Soon, Bo Jinxiu was standing right in front of Jiang Ciyou.

"What's going on here?"

His voice was deep and cold, clearly suppressing a surge of anger.

Jiang Ciyou looked up. She didn't speak, just stared at Bo Jinxiu with a faint, ambiguous smile.

At that moment, Shen Nuo stepped forward. "Well, isn't this the young master? What a coincidence. You're here to have fun too?"

Bo Jinxiu gave Shen Nuo a cold glance. "Miss Shen, is this how you usually entertain your friends?"

Shen Nuo sat down beside Jiang Ciyou. She hooked an arm around Jiang Ciyou's neck, then casually planted a kiss on her cheek. Looking at Bo Jinxiu with a perfectly sincere expression, she said, "Of course. I've been consistent with my friends for three years now. The young master should know that."

Shen Nuo's meaning was obvious.

She was hinting that three years ago, he and Jiang Ciyou had met in just the same way.

Bo Jinxiu's face turned even colder.

Shen Nuo stood up and said generously to the four boys sitting around Jiang Ciyou, "What are you afraid of? Keep playing. The young master used to play even wilder games than you all."

How could those four not know the reputation of the young master? If you wanted to survive in the capital's inner circle, the one person you must never offend was the man standing right there. Otherwise, you might not even know how you died.

The four of them trembled, not knowing whether to stand or sit.

"Get the hell out of here!"

Bo Jinxiu had reached his limit and gave the order.

The four of them scrambled away in panic.

Shen Nuo looked displeased, lounging in the leather booth seat. One hand rested on Jiang Ciyou's shoulder, the other draped over the back of the chair. She was wearing a tank top with a floral shirt over it, unbuttoned and draped over her like a cape. With her legs crossed and her arm around Jiang Ciyou, she cut a rakish figure like a carefree playboy.

"Young master, that's no fun. How come you're allowed to play around, but we ordinary folks can't enjoy the good life?"

"Shen Nuo, you get out of here too."

Bo Jinxiu's gaze never left the slender fingers resting on Jiang Ciyou's shoulder. Shen Nuo's fingers were lean, with distinct knuckles like a jade flute. Whether considered as a man's hand or a woman's, it was extremely pleasing to the eye.

When Jiang Ciyou heard Bo Jinxiu speak to Shen Nuo like that, the smile that had been on her face suddenly vanished. No one was allowed to talk to Shen Nuo that way.

Jiang Ciyou looked directly into Bo Jinxiu's eyes.

"President Bo, have my friend and I committed some crime? Or is the Dijing only a place where you, the young master, are allowed to come? Since we're here having fun, we've paid our money and followed the rules. No one has the right to make us leave. If you don't want to see us, then you should leave yourself. Isn't it first come, first served?"

Though the corners of Jiang Ciyou's lips were curved upward, her eyes were filled with distance and coldness.

Bo Jinxiu rarely saw Jiang Ciyou so cold. She was like a frozen lake, without a trace of warmth.

Shen Qingqing also walked up from behind and stood beside Bo Jinxiu. She looked up at his handsome, stern profile. "Uncle, what's wrong?"

The taut expression on Bo Jinxiu's face seemed to loosen slightly. He turned to Shen Qingqing and said, "Qingqing, go to the private room first. I'll be there in a minute."

Shen Qingqing obediently didn't ask another word. She turned and left.

But as she left, her gaze lingered on Jiang Ciyou, who was sitting on the sofa, for a long moment.

The people around Bo Jinxiu were also all led away by Gao Cen.

In an instant, only Jiang Ciyou, Shen Nuo, and Bo Jinxiu remained at the booth.

Shen Nuo looked at the two of them and understood immediately. She stood up and said, "You Bao, although he's your kept man, you've kept him for three years now. Even a dog would have formed feelings by now. You should at least say goodbye properly, don't you think?"

Jiang Ciyou shot Shen Nuo a fierce glare. She was going to die from that mouth of hers someday. Even she didn't dare say such things.

But Shen Nuo couldn't care less. She got up and sauntered off casually.

Bo Jinxiu's expression had already turned extremely ugly.

Jiang Ciyou spoke up first. "Shen Nuo's mouth has always been like this. She's like that with everyone. Don't take it to heart."

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming to the capital?"

Jiang Ciyou smiled, her eyes full of charm. "Why would I tell you? It's not like I came here for you."

Then she flashed him a radiant smile. "Besides, if I really had told you, yesterday wouldn't have been such a big surprise."

Bo Jinxiu said nothing.

Jiang Ciyou hadn't expected him to be too lazy to explain even a single word. But that was fine too.

Jiang Ciyou spoke again. "Do you know why I showed up at Miss Shen's birthday party?"

Bo Jinxiu looked at her darkly, as if waiting for her to continue.

"It was your sister, the chairman of Jinghua Media, who had the invitation sent to me. She also asked me to order a bouquet of lilies for Miss Shen."

Bo Jinxiu's eyes darkened, and his expression turned especially grim. "I guessed as much. Now that Qingqing is twenty, how could she let it go so easily?"

"Bo Wanhua also invited me to join her game, as a pawn to split you and Miss Shen apart—even tempting me with the position of the young mistress of the Bo family."

Bo Jinxiu stared into Jiang Ciyou's eyes. "So?"

Jiang Ciyou lazily tossed her wavy hair over her shoulder. "I refused."

She smiled, utterly at ease. "Bo Jinxiu, I've preserved your dignity and your image as a good man in front of Miss Shen. Shouldn't you thank me properly?"

Bo Jinxiu had a bad feeling.

"Jiang Ciyou, what exactly are you trying to say?"

Jiang Ciyou rose and walked up to him. She raised her hand and hooked his chin, just as she used to when teasing him. Though her face still wore its usual smile, her voice was particularly cold.

"It's time for us to break up, Bo Jinxiu."
