The group glanced around, hesitating between the Chinese and Western restaurants. Hui looked at the Western restaurant, then at the Chinese one. To be honest, coming to China naturally meant eating Chinese food, but considering the challenge he was about to face, he decided to opt for Western cuisine instead!

Without hesitation, he declared, “Let’s have Western food!”

“Let’s have Chinese food!” At the same moment, Xiao Ai voiced her own preference.

A conflict of opinions arose between the two! The others frowned in exasperation. Good grief! Even choosing a meal was so troublesome!

Xiao yawned, stretched, and leaned lazily against Yu. She spoke languidly, “Let’s just have Chinese food. It’s been a long time since we’ve eaten out.”

With her words, the two who had been arguing fiercely were instantly stunned into silence. Moments later, accompanied by Xiao Ai’s cheering and Hui’s anguished groan, the group quietly entered the Chinese restaurant.

All around, the wooden tables and chairs exuded a distinctly Chinese charm. Several large red lanterns hung high from the ceiling. Paper cuttings decorated the walls, and the staff were all dressed in Tang dynasty attire.

It was a spectacle of grace and elegance—just looking around was a delight. Guided by a beautiful waitress in a red cheongsam, they were led to a private room.

Inside, it was like entering another world. Folding screens separated the room from the rest of the restaurant, yet through special craftsmanship, those inside could still see everything outside with perfect clarity!

Xiao Ai gazed out in amazement, exclaiming, “Wow! You can see outside from here too!” Hui, equally astonished, stood by the screen, finding it all so incredible.

So these things had such a function! He decided he must get something like this for his own home someday. Feeling bored, Xiao wandered over and picked up the menu.

Yu sat quietly to Xiao’s left, so naturally, Han’s seat was to her right. Tang Meng walked beside Han, her head bowed, quiet and lost in thought.

Today was, after all, her first time shopping with Han. She’d fully realized how protective Han was of Xiao! That absolute sense of protection, everything revolving around Xiao at the center—Meng watched, full of envy. When would someone treat her like that? How much longer would she have to wait?

Once everyone was seated, they began reading the menu. “Let’s just order these dishes. See if you have any other suggestions,” Xiao said, pushing the marked menu toward the others.

The others glanced at the menu and nodded, indicating they had no objections.

Yu picked up the menu and handed it to the restaurant staff. The server left, and within fifteen minutes, the dishes began arriving one after another.

When all the dishes were finally served, the server retreated to one side, standing respectfully and announcing, “All your dishes are here. Please enjoy your meal!”

With that, she uncovered each dish. After completing everything, she returned to her original position, standing there so straight she looked even more upright than a soldier at attention.

Hui stared wide-eyed at the chopsticks on the table, veins bulging on his forehead. Damn it! How was he supposed to use these things? He glanced at the others—Xiao Ai was deftly picking up food with her chopsticks.

The rest were equally graceful, savoring the delicious dishes. Xiao Ai, glancing at Hui, sighed with apparent delight, “Wow, this is so tasty!”

Saying this, she made a point of using her chopsticks to take food from the dishes in front of Hui. Watching her, Hui was so infuriated it was as if fire was about to shoot from his eyes!
