Kevin followed her curiously and asked, “You just said Shangguan Han is your brother? What’s your name then?”

Shangguan Xiao turned her head to look at him with disdain and said contemptuously, “My name is Shangguan Xiao. You like my brother but didn’t even know he has a sister!”

Kevin was utterly speechless. She really was Shangguan Han’s sister! Their personalities couldn’t be more different. If Shangguan Han was cold and aloof like ice, then Shangguan Xiao was like the blazing sun. Watching her fiery temper was like seeing a spoiled young lady at her most explosive.

But her calling him “sister” was truly embarrassing. Kevin cleared his throat awkwardly and said, “Um, my name is Kevin Chris! And I’m a guy!”

After saying that, he turned his face away, unable to look at Shangguan Xiao. He was afraid he’d catch her incredulous expression and might impulsively throw her into the lake. That would surely make Shangguan Han furious with him!

Sure enough, Shangguan Xiao eyed Kevin suspiciously and reached out toward his chest. Kevin was startled by her sudden move and quickly raised his hand to protect himself.

Looking at her with a wary expression, he nervously shouted, “What are you doing?”

She covered her ears and shrugged, “Of course, I’m testing if what you said is true or false!”

Her self-righteous tone made Kevin want to explode. How could Shangguan Han have such a bizarre sister? It was terrifying! Still, he grumbled with dissatisfaction, “So, did you find out anything?”

With a glare full of anger, Kevin stared at her. Seeing that she had clearly angered him, Shangguan Xiao nonchalantly stuck out her tongue and said, “Turns out, you really are a guy!”

Then she resumed leading Kevin forward, winding through twists and turns for quite some time. The more they walked, the more Kevin realized just how enormous the Shangguan family estate was. It would take forever just to get to someone’s room. If there were an emergency and someone had to leave quickly—

He would definitely be late! After walking for a long time, Kevin finally couldn’t help but ask, “Um, are we there yet?”

Beautiful red plum blossoms bloomed in the winter, their fragrance drifting for miles. The alluring scent made Kevin pause, tilting his head to admire the winter’s crimson. He felt deeply moved.

Noticing Kevin had slowed down, Shangguan Xiao turned and looked at him. She saw him staring blankly at the plum blossoms, so she walked over and said, “These plum trees were transplanted by Dad because Mom loves them! Pretty, right?”

Listening to her explanation, Kevin sighed, “Your father really loves your mother.”

Looking at the crimson plum blossoms in this snowy season, it was undeniably a breathtaking sight. To have such love was truly remarkable—they had overcome all obstacles to be together.
