[Hello, welcome to the Digital Origin World!]
"Digital Origin World" is a game developed by Digimon Enterprises in this world. It claims to allow people to enter the "Digital World," and for a time, it became a sensation among countless Digimon fans.
These days, a Digimon fan who doesn't dream of becoming a Chosen Child isn't a true fan at all. Who wouldn't want a Digimon as their partner? Especially one like Angewomon, LadyDevimon, Sistermon, Fairymon, or Lilithmon.
At this very moment, Wang Jie stood inside a room. In front of him was a full-length mirror. Behind him, a large door. To his left, beside the mirror, a bed. Opposite the bed, to his right and the left of the mirror, was a window. Other than that, there was nothing else.
This was perfectly normal—it was just the location where his character logged in, not a place to truly rest. The room was rather simple, of course, which might have had something to do with his login device.
He was only using Qi Refining Level gaming glasses. There were better devices available, and rumor had it that the better your equipment, the better your luck in the game. Of course, there was no real evidence for that.
In the mirror stood a young man of about twenty, short and obese. Because of his size, his features seemed squished together, making him somewhat unattractive, but his plump cheeks always wore a cheerful smile, giving him the look of a laughing Buddha—though not to the point of being unpleasant.
This was the body of Wang Jie. Of course, it was completely different from his true form as Yishou. Still, he had no intention of modifying his appearance to match his original one. After all, in the digital world, there were plenty who didn't care about looks.
[Hello, you must be at least fourteen years old to log into this game. If you do not meet the age requirement, you cannot officially begin.]
After that message appeared, a screen popped up before Wang Jie. On it were three icons: Login, Cancel, and Instructions.
He knew the instructions could be useful, but they were usually long-winded, and most people never read them. In reality, every game had such instructions, but few ever bothered to look.
[This is your first login. Please enter your in-game nickname.]
An input field appeared on the screen, along with a few restrictions: the nickname must be at least two bytes and no more than eight, and no profanity or sensitive words allowed.
Wang Jie entered the name "Yishou."

The reason Wang Jie chose "Yishou" was simple: in fact, he was Yishou. Three days ago in the human world, Yishou defeated Millenniummon, took his data, and arrived here.
He wasn’t sure how it happened, but he ended up in the body of a human who had fallen into a deep "sage" state, and, coincidentally, this human's name was Wang Jie. Most importantly, Yishou discovered that the data he once could materialize was now completely trapped within this body.
Later, he found that Wang Jie had previously ordered a set of "Digital Origin World" gaming glasses. He thought that maybe, by returning to the digital world in-game, he could get out. But, to his surprise, he still could not escape.
“This is a higher world. Of course you can’t leave.” At that moment, a voice suddenly echoed in Yishou’s ear.
He turned his head, searching for the source of the sound, but found nothing.
“Here, over here!” The voice sounded again.
This time, following a powerful feeling, Yishou finally located it. The sound was coming from his wrist—at some point, a watch had appeared there, and the voice originated from it.
Yishou glared at the watch, his face dark: “Who are you?”
Though now merely a "normal human," unable to unleash the world-shaking power he once had, his terrifying aura remained. Even now, just with that presence alone, he could frighten off even an Ultimate-level Digimon.
“Really, are all men so heartless? After all this time together, you still don’t know who I am?” The voice from the watch was heartbreakingly sad, like a girl abandoned by her beloved.
“If you keep this up, I’ll destroy you.” Unfortunately, Yishou was no ordinary man—in fact, he wasn’t human at all—and he wasn’t swayed by such antics.
“I’m the diamond Ancient Melodymon gave you! You used me to seal Millenniummon’s power. Without me, how could you have come here?” The voice from the watch was tinged with annoyance.
Yishou was truly surprised; he’d thought that diamond was a one-time item, destroyed when he arrived here. Who would’ve thought it had been with him all along?
“All right, enough talk for now. Hurry up and start the game. I’ll explain the rest later.” The watch urged him on.
Since the watch insisted, Yishou didn’t want to linger. He nodded, raised his arm, and tapped Confirm on the screen. The screen vanished.
[Welcome to the Digital Origin World. Your journey in the Digital Origin World is about to begin, Mr. Yishou.]
