Boiro Beast, a holy beast-type virus Digimon, is an Ultimate-level creature whose special move is [Flame]. It is one of the Twelve Demon Emperor Digimon, representing the “Sheep” among the twelve zodiac signs. Additionally, it serves under Suzaku Beast, one of the Four Holy Beast Digimon, and possesses the power to dominate the world of dreams. Its relationship with the other Demon Emperor Digimon is rather distant; it usually remains calm and rarely changes its mind.

As for the place where Yi Beast and Dragon Beast arrived, it was a realm of illusion. The main color surrounding them was darkness, but within this gloom, countless bubbles floated about.

These bubbles were distinct from the dominant darkness, yet did not radiate the power of light either. Instead, each bubble shimmered with vibrant, rainbow hues.

“Where could Boiro Beast possibly be?” Yi Beast gazed around, his expression tense.

This situation was truly unsettling. Frankly, these Twelve Demon Emperor Digimon really didn’t know how to make things easy for others. Take Vajra Beast and Indaro Beast, for example; they simply set up an arena-style map, standing there boldly, waiting for players to challenge them. How convenient.

But aside from them, the rooms of every other Demon Emperor Digimon were complicated, one more so than the next. Previously, no matter how complex, there was always some clue to follow. But now? All around was nothing but darkness, with only a few bubbles drifting by. How was Yi Beast supposed to find Boiro Beast in all this?

[Flame]—at that moment, a bubble suddenly burst, and at the same time, a shaft of light shot out from within.

“So you were hiding inside these bubbles?” Yi Beast watched the scene, a sharp gleam flashing across his eyes. The light arrow, just before striking him, was seized by the demonic aura emanating from his body.

“Let’s destroy all these bubbles around us,” Yi Beast patted Dragon Beast’s shoulder and gave him a command.

Immediately, Yi Beast and Dragon Beast began the process of popping the bubbles. Regrettably, no matter how many they destroyed, more bubbles would appear in the darkness, seemingly endless.

“How could this be? There must be something I’ve overlooked here,” Yi Beast muttered, his brow furrowed in thought.

These bubbles weren’t difficult to eliminate, but their sheer number was overwhelming. Of course, he was solo, so it felt like a lot. If it were that thousand-player squad, no matter how many bubbles appeared, it wouldn’t pose much of a problem.

However, with so many participants, Boiro Beast would certainly be strengthened to an unimaginable degree. To be blunt, it wouldn’t be impossible for him to evolve into Suzaku Beast right then and there.

So here’s the question: if Boiro Beast is hiding inside these bubbles, how would he get stronger? Would he fortify the bubbles so they couldn’t be easily destroyed?

But what would be the point of that? Hard to destroy, perhaps, but ultimately still breakable. If unbreakable bubbles appeared, the players would stand no chance.

“No, the bubbles aren’t the key!” Yi Beast seemed to have realized something; he gazed silently at his surroundings, finally fixing his eyes on the boundless darkness.

“Will things turn out as I expect?” Yi Beast had a vague suspicion in his mind, though it seemed absurd even to himself.

“Enough. Whether it’s right or not, I’ll know once I try.” With this thought, his aura burst forth, pressing against the darkness. Suddenly, a crack appeared in the dark sky, and a beam of pure white light shone through.

“So it really is so…” Yi Beast murmured, as more and more white light spread under the influence of his aura. Eventually, the white light faded, revealing a new scene.

Yi Beast was now surrounded by a meadow, and not far from him—about three meters away—stood his target, Boiro Beast. But Boiro Beast’s eyes were tightly shut, his face covered in sweat, as though he were enduring great hardship.

“Too bad, I’ve lost after all.” At last, Boiro Beast opened his eyes, meeting Yi Beast’s gaze. A bitter smile crept across his lips, and with that, his body dissolved into fragments of light and vanished.

Boiro Beast was dead!

After his death, Yi Beast’s stats and basic attributes were all enhanced. This meant Boiro Beast was truly gone. In the place where he fell, a crystal-clear stone lay on the ground. Yi Beast picked it up.

If his deductions were correct, upon entering this room, Yi Beast had been affected by Boiro Beast’s power—hypnotized. The space filled with countless bubbles and darkness wasn’t the real room, but rather a dreamscape induced by hypnosis.

Normally, with Yi Beast’s formidable mental strength, Boiro Beast shouldn’t have been able to hypnotize him so easily. Yet he succeeded, likely with the assistance of the system. But since it wasn’t achieved through his own power, Boiro Beast had struggled greatly to maintain it.

Once Yi Beast awakened, Boiro Beast was defeated, crushed by the final straw, his spirit broken. And so, he died.

If it had been the thousand-player squad, Boiro Beast would have been strengthened to an incredible degree. Not just Yi Beast—even Digimon at the NEO level wouldn’t have escaped Boiro Beast’s dream as an Ultimate-level Digimon.

Yi Beast was fortunate; because he challenged solo, the difficulty was lowest. Moreover, his mental strength had been forged amid mountains of corpses and seas of blood, far surpassing ordinary players. Only by relying on this, he was able to overcome Boiro Beast.

Boiro Beast was thoroughly restrained by Yi Beast. Among the Twelve Demon Emperor Digimon, he was the easiest for Yi Beast to defeat. Some of the others, even when Yi Beast activated his berserk mode, nearly brought him to ruin.

In any case, after leaving Boiro Beast’s room, Yi Beast headed toward the adjacent chamber. Over there was Mohoro Beast.
