Chapter 113: Witchmon

Witchmon, a Magic Humanoid type, Data attribute, Champion level Digimon, whose special move is Baluluna Gale. She is a Digimon resembling a witch, having traveled from the other-dimensional Digital World at great risk to pursue her rival, Wizardmon.

Back in her homeland, Witchelny, she had already mastered wind and water magic. She possesses a strong sense of pride and deeply dislikes following rigid rules.

Looking at the indescribable item in her hands, Witchmon said with a calm expression, "Identification takes time. Usually, the duration of this process correlates with the value of the object. Therefore, how much you will need to pay later depends on how long the identification takes. Also, if the process takes too long, you are welcome to wander elsewhere and return later."

"Understood." Yi Shou nodded, signaling his acknowledgement. This was normal procedure, and Yi Shou had mentally prepared for it.

It is said that if an item capable of destroying the world with a single snap were to be identified, the progress would likely be measured in days.

Truth be told, with the system backing her, Witchmon was not afraid that Yi Shou would renege on the payment. A joke—if Yi Shou dared to turn his back on her, Witchmon could evolve from a Champion to a Mega level on the spot and give him a sound thrashing.

"I'll leave for now and come back later," Yi Shou said to Sunflowmon after observing the situation, then departed. He looked around, lost in thought.

Ninety-seven minutes was a long time—long enough that he wasn't sure what to do. He could run a dungeon, or perhaps log off to take a break.

Even just wandering around was an option. Thinking this over, Yi Shou took Paildramon and headed out. Since he was Level 23, he needed to stick to specific dungeons. Honestly, he really wanted to equip the HolyAngemon ring, but his total combat power was still twenty points short.

Fortunately, twenty points was not an insurmountable gap. Yi Shou led Paildramon through the leveling zone inhabited by Greymon and ventured further out.

Here lay a jungle, a new leveling area. The moment Yi Shou entered, an attack suddenly flew toward him.

Paildramon reacted instantly, swatting the attack away with one hand while his bio-cannon targeted the source, firing a wave of energy.

An Ogremon was eliminated on the spot. Watching this, a thought crossed Yi Shou's mind.

Ogremon, a Demon Humanoid type, Virus attribute, Champion level Digimon, whose special move is Pummel Whack. Although highly intelligent, it has a violent temperament and often uses its raw power to destroy everything in its path. It is also extremely bellicose, daring to challenge opponents with far greater combat power, earning it the nickname "The Digimon of Conflict."

This was the type of Digimon Yi Shou least wanted to encounter. Beyond the fact that a former subordinate of his had also been an Ogremon, the main reason was that this breed of Digimon feared nothing in death.

Fighting one was fine. Fighting a group was taxing. Fighting a massive horde was strenuous to the point of exhaustion. After all, despite his strong combat power, Yi Shou did not have a qualitative advantage over them.

It was quite powerful indeed. Yi Shou ran the dungeon twice more. Because it was no longer his first time, the boss's combat power had dropped slightly, down to just over 1,200 points.

On this third run, the moment Yi Shou stepped into the dungeon, he realized he had triggered a hidden dungeon.

He felt no fear. Before fighting the Deva dungeon, he might have been inferior to the boss of the Ogremon Forest dungeon. Back then, he would have needed burst evolution just to barely match an Ogremon's strength, and Paildramon would still have been a Greymon, rendering him useless.

But now, if nothing else, he had Paildramon with over 5,100 combat power. Even if the hidden dungeon boss evolved to Ultimate level, it might not be a match for Paildramon.

In other words, since he could breeze through it, what was there to fear? Relying on Paildramon's overwhelming power, Yi Shou pushed forward.
